It's Our Anniversary!

Well, one year ago, the former Paper Salon design team decided to make lemons into lemonade, creating the Pursuit Of Craftyness. And what a great year it has been, due in large part, to YOU!!! Without our readers, we would be sitting around twiddling our thumbs! (OK, not really, but you get the drift!)

To celebrate, I'd like to offer up a little blog candy! After all, you made our year pretty sweet.

What's all here? Good stuff, including:

Prism Paper cardstock

Scrap With In Reach papers and chipboard

Scenic Route chipboard

SEI ribbon and chipboard

Bazzill Basics brads

2 Copic markers (BV02 and Y11)

Prismacolor pencils (colorless blender and white)

Papertrey Ink Lavender Moon Grosgrain ribbon

CARDS, April 09

What do you think? Interested in having a chance at this? All you have to do is leave a comment on this post letting the Pursuit Of Craftyness gals know what post you learned the most from over the last year! (Hint: there is a list of tutorials on the right) You have until Sunday, May 3rd at 11:59PM Eastern time to enter!

Thanks again for being there for us! Good luck! ~ Jenn

My favorite tutorial was Watercolors and Stamps.
As much as I admire the beautiful results with those copic pens, I simply can't splurge on them right now. After seeing this tutorial, I pulled out my trusty set of Winsor & Newton watercolor paints and tried the technique myself. I really like the results. Thanks again for your encouragement.

Definitely, Heat Embossing 101 was the best tutorial for me! Thanks for a great year and Happy Anniversary!

I agree with Trica, the heat embossing tutorial is great!

There are so many great altered items and products to learn how to use, but I found that putting beads on cards is probably the most frugal idea I've seen. Surely every crafter has beads they haven't used - and they look cute in so many different ways. Thanks.

Happy Anniversary! Congrats! I found very useful the Watercolor pencils tutorial. I always color on white paper - I love the look of the pencils on the color paper - esp kraft. I have been trying to break out of my mode! I love the variety of ideas that you provide!!

Grace Tolman said...

wow what a great rak!
Mine would have to be the embossing 101 tutorial. I've tried this technique a lot of times but can never get it right. When learned about the extra tools and steps to use (like the right stamp pad and embossing buddy) I knew that the next time I'd try my hand on heat embossing, it would turn out great.
Thanks for all the great info here.

The tutorial with the chalks was my favorite or one of my favorites. I wasn't sure what to do with the chalks I was given and tried the q-tips and made more of a mess than it was worth. The blender pen makes the difference! Now, to try some of the other tutorials and play! What a great give away! Happy Anniversary!

I am new to your site but already book marked a page for future use. I learned alot from the heat embossing 101. I am a beginner looking to venture out. I have always done layouts and am just now getting into cards, stamping and COPICS (which is a whole nother world) Each time I think about venturing out I realize this hobby of mine has so many different aspects.
You have inspired me to just do it. I think I need to put that coupon to good use and get the heat embossing supplies. Thanks!

I found your blog a few months back and have been enjoying reading through everything! Id have to pick Embossing 101 as a fav ( i tried it on my christmas cards last year!) and Making your own envelopes. I often make odd dimensioned cards and making my own envelopes just adds to the charm of handmade cards.
